At the end of the L-shaped addition is the loft guest bedroom and lounge area. The space seems designed for
adventuresome guests for whom scaling a ladder to reach a private nirvana is part of the fun of an overnight visit.
A textbook example of making the most of a small space, the new master bath utilizes three walls for storage. Opposite kneewall cabinetry, the vanity has open shelving and closed cupboards. A shallow wraparound display shelf ties the look together.
Like other rooms in the house, the master bedroom was long on charm but short on storage, so a custom wainscot-style headboard was designed to incorporate overhead book and display shelves.
